A small update this time. Another wedding video completed this year and in a similar situation to the Grendon Hall project, it required rotoscoping to remove an unwanted object from a particular scene. This time however, the scene was filmed hand held. Take a look at the FILM section for the Wedding of Mr & Mrs Teckman for a breakdown of how the shot was achieved.

Friday 16th March 2007 - RED NOSE DAY!

LITTLE RETAIL HERE AT LAST!

Yes, it's true! After 2 years it's finally been released onto the world wide web. The Probe's first comedy film making project and homage to Little Britain is now in the film section for you to watch. This film holds some great and funny memories for me and we are already in pre-production for a sequel that will hopefully be finished this Autumn in time for "Children in need".

As usual there will be more film content to come so keep checking back, but in the meantime... check out Little Retail.

Happy New Year!

Well, the effects tests for the 'Encounter' short are coming on well. Hopefully we will have that done this year! The reason I say that is because the last 'short' we did took 18 months on and off and it's that film, "Saber Golf" that has been added today for your enjoyment!

Filmed three and a half years ago it was a good learning experience for a lot of effects techniques that hopefully will be used to good effect in 'Encounter'

Take a look at the Saber Golf page in the Film Section and then check out the effects development short afterwards.

More film content to come soon so keep checking back!

Wednesday 22nd November 2006

Just a quick update today but one that hopefully will make you all smile. A 'Behind the scenes of Private Investigations' page along with a blooper reel has now been added for your enjoyment, again in windows media and quicktime formats. Get yourself over to the Private Investigations page in the Film section for that and click the red man at the bottom.

It was quite a surprise to find that I had so much of the original footage left as it was common practice to re-use tapes once the movie had been edited onto a master tape. In fact, if it wasn't for the loss of one tape (most of the grave scenes and some final office scenes) I could and would have re-edited the film from the original tapes to get the best sound and picture possible but there you go.

In other news, Paul has started some early SFX work on our latest personal project 'Encounter' and it's already looking quite interesting... More on that later!

Enjoy the bloopers and see you soon!

Saturday 11th November 2006

'Back again soon' is what I signed off with over 8 months ago! Time really does fly when you're having fun! Anyway, at last some more updates to report.

"Private Investigations" is now online for you to watch in both Windows media and Quicktime formats. You'll find that in the FILM section.

Several wedding video's later and we finally start work on another personal project that we shot back in May this year. Look out for 'ENCOUNTER' early next year.

Coming soon... More movies... and The Probe!

Sunday 26th February 2006

Just a small update today but one that will pave the way for a lot of content to come. In the Paper section there is now a brief history of the spoof magazine The Probe! Soon I hope to have all of the issues scanned and online for your enjoyment. No news on the filmmaking front although E.P.C has now added a Glidecam camera stabilizer to it's available equipment. It allows you to get those really smooth camera moves that you see in hollywood movies without having to spend a fortune...

Back again soon!

Happy New Year!

Well, after the build up to christmas and both of us working in our day jobs as well, we have finished the Grendon Hall Project. It went down extremely well with the clients and all who saw it at the 'Premiere' at Grendon Hall on the 5th January which is really great for us. Its good to get feedback on your work but fantastic when the feedback is so complimentary! Info is now available on it via the 'Film' section or just click here.

Hope everyone had a great New Year. Can't wait to see what this one will bring...

Type again soon!

Wednesday 30th November 2005

Finally, another update! Been very busy on a few personal projects, a few things for other people and a bit for the Grendon Hall project. An odd job for a documentary but it involved "painting out" a boy from a shot because he walked in front of the camera! One of those 'effects' that you will never see but takes time to do in order to get the shot you want. Some info will be up soon about that!

Also, for all you "little BRITAIN" fans, the pictures of the live show they did in Plymouth are up in the "Gallery" section so off you go!

Until next time...

Friday 11th November 2005

Another update! Now there are quicktime versions of the video's that are currently online for all you Mac fans. In addition, there is now a 'Doppleganger' trailer online too. The About us section has been completed and some more info on our early films.

Got to go! Lots to do! Until next time...

Tuesday 8th November 2005

At last! There are two movies available for viewing now, "A second from midnight" and "10,000 years on". They are the two 'rock videos' done for a local band 'Obssession'. Just click the links from the 'FILM' section to read all about them and at the bottom is a link to watch them. At the moment the movies are only in windows media format.

Coming soon... More movies... Quick time versions of the movies... and The Probe!

Monday 7th November 2005

Another quick update. Additional info about "Hangar 18" is now online so check out the 'PAPER' section for the update.

Also some background info on our movie "Doppleganger" can be read by clicking the link in the 'FILM' section.

I'm currently recoding the films for web download and writing background info on them which will take a while. I hope to have some online very soon now.

Back soon...

Sunday 30th October 2005

Another quick update. All of the 19 editions of "GREY matter" are now online so check out the 'PAPER' section for the update!

Loads more to come so check in once in a while.

Until next time..

Saturday 29th October 2005

I've made a few optimisation's to some of the graphics on this site to help speed things up a bit for people with 56K modems. There's a bit more to do yet but it's getting there.

I've also got the first 6 editions of "GREY matter" online so make sure you check out the 'PAPER' section for the update!

Hopefully some videos will be online soon. When they are, the names of the videos will become links for you to click on.

Until the next update..

Wednesday 26th October 2005

Welcome to the new E.P.C. web site... .

It's been a long time coming and this is a major "work in progress" as up until recently, I've never made a single web page in my life!

The idea behind this site is to showcase the work that we create at E.P.C. on video and printed media. There are only two of us in this "Company" but we are enthusiastic and really enjoy what we do and although we now live hundreds of miles apart, through the wonders of the internet (and occasionally the postal service here in the UK) we are able to work together on projects where necessary.

Our interests lie in Film making, (Documentary, Drama, Music and Comedy), Special effects, DVD authoring, 3D Graphics and creating Artwork for cases, discs, posters etc and most of all, trying to do the best we can while having fun! Our motto is "Creation with Imagination" and that's what we aim to achieve in every project we do.

Take a look around and we hope you enjoy the site.
