The AssassinThe Assassin was our very first attempt to tell a story and we did it without speech. It was totally edited 'in camera'. By that I mean, it was shot chronologically. Any bad takes were recorded over with the good take (although if I remember correctly, almost everything was first take) and followed an assassin's preparation as he went off to kill his victim. Paul was the assassin, although in the movie you never saw his face. It was just low body shots, close ups of hands with the gun, hands on the car steering wheel, to convey an air of mystery and menace. Steve was the victim who's death by a single shot to the forehead and subsequent death twitch on the floor was good practice for the next film we did, 'Doppleganger'. I don't have this film anymore which is a shame. It, along with a comedy film we did next was on a tape that was lent to someone to copy for themselves over a weekend. That was in 1988. I have never seen the tape since.
