The
second 'Rock Video' for Obssession and the worst in my opinion. It was
a song about man's inhumanity toward man. 10,000 years of civilisation
and we are no further forward. Fair enough. The problem was that they
needed four videos to use as promotional material and they only had three.
So, on a Saturday it was filmed and on the Sunday it was 'thrown' together
so they could take it with them on Monday to seek their fortune!

Again
shot on Super VHS tape and edited onto a SVHS tape deck with a digital
vision mixer, this video had a professional magician in it as well as
a very efficient fog machine! The magician was used to play against the
line in the song "10,000 years on, still, just the same." The
idea being that we would show the magician doing things that wern't the
same as they should be.

The
shoot for this video was rushed and was really just a collection of foggy
scenes of the lead singer/songwriter Danny Morris, interspersed with Paul
Marshall being shown some good magic tricks. The whole thing was shot
at Danny's place which was a large farmhouse. To get some atmosphere,
Danny borrowed a fog machine...

As
the shoot went on, more and more fog was added. I was concerned the oil
based smoke would get into the camera. It got into your eyes and throat
as it was so thick!

By
the time we shot the last scene, Dannys room was so full, you could hardly
see in front of you. I remember when the main light was turned on, nothing
seemed to happen! We had to open the windows and doors to let it all out.
By the morning it was all gone and his wife and kids were none the wiser!

A
year after this video was completed, Obssession split up as both Danny
and Paul decided to emigrate to New Zealand.
